Representative Activities

  • Translates production instructions into a program: writes programs and modifies existing ones for increased efficiency.

  • Determines sequence of operations in a program.

  • Solves problems and adapts CNC programs where necessary.

  • Translates overall planning into tasks and gives instructions to CNC operators.

  • Determines how CNC machines are operated by CNC Operators.

  • Follows up and checks production results to ensure qualitative results.

  • Is the technical expert concerning CNC machines and can serve as the contact person for other departments regarding production problems.

  • Typically reports to the Engineering Manager, Production Manager or Production Team leader.
